Las Vegas or Tokyo? Choose a Location First!
The other advantage of looking at these hotels which are slightly further out is that they are less likely to be as busy, and you’re more likely to be able to book a room of your choice. It is even possible that the hotel itself will be situated in a more quiet neighbourhood. City centre hotels may well be very close to bustling bars and clubs which, particularly during the holiday season, may be very noisy until very late at night, or even until morning. This could pose a problem unless your hotel is very well insulated against noise by having double glazing. If it doesn’t and you want to have the window open to let some fresh air in during the hot summer months, any ambient noise outside could pose a problem. A hotel in a less busy area won’t have the same issue, so by saving money you’ll actually benefit from this lower level of noise.
Naturally, there are many people who won’t be bothered by this and would prefer to be at the very heart of all that hustle and bustle, which is fine, but if you’re not one of those people, as many of us aren’t, then looking further afield may take a little more time, but provide us with a much more appropriate location.
